Role of the United States
After the Invasion of South Korea bu North Korea, U.S. President Truman ordered his troops to the aid of South Korea and somehow convinced UN (United Nations) to send over military aid as well, in what was referred to in diplomatic circles as a police action.
The US provided the majority of the UN military forces which drove the North Koreans out of South Korea and still stand guard along the border. Also, the head of the UN force on the ground was an American general, Douglas MacArthur.

The implications I can draw from the role America played in the Korean War was that they were trying to prevent as much conflicts and battles as they could. After South Korea was invaded they did everything in their power to make sure they would be just as equal with their Northern counter-part. They did things from sending medical service from military equipment. And they best part was they were receiving from their other allies as well.
