United Nations Security Council
At the end of World War II, Korea was split. While the South was in control with America, Russia dominated the North. After the attack upon South Korea by North Korea, America wanted the invasion immediately brought before the Security Council. The actual invasion of the South by the North was on June 25th, 1950, which also happened to be the same day the Security Council of the United Nations met. At the meeting, America claimed that North Korea had broken world peace by attacking their South counterpart. Nine out of eleven countries saw this as a supported view. On that day not only was Russia absent and abstained, but the day America called on a withdrawal on North Korea from the 38th Parallel. America called on the United Nations to use force to get the North Korean division out since they ignored the warning from the Security Council on June 27th, 1950. Again it was voted for that North Koreans should be dealt with. The Russians weren't allowed to use their veto since they were still boycotting on the UN.

The implications I can draw about the role the UN Security Council played in the war is they were the people/government that kept this war in order. They did things like withdraw North Korea from the 38th Parallel, and they helped to restrain the spread of communism by the USSR.
